Step 4 of the roadmap

The Prime Minister made an announcement yesterday, 5 July 2021, setting out what will be involved in step 4 of the roadmap. https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/pm-statement-at-coronavirus-press-conference-5-july-2021.  When we have further information on what step 4 means for business restrictions regulations we will let you know.

Set up a Summer market stall as a young entrepreneur

The New Youthquake 2021 initiative is back for another year to give traders under 30 the chance to showcase their talent at Portobello and Golborne Road Market from as little as £10.  There will be 18 stalls up for grabs being made available over the summer on 25-27 June, 16-18 July, and 6-8 August 2021.  Email street.markets@rbkc.gov.uk to register.

If you have not previously applied for this discount you will need to apply.  The Council will soon open applications for 2021/22. Information on how to apply will be made available in coming weeks. Chorus and Summer of Love

Why not enter your Summer of Love activities?  K&C Summer of Love has started with a fantastic event in the Duke of York’s Square and now we have a summer full of events and activities to look forward to. First photo competition on social media is launched to encourage people to share the places they love in the borough. The prize is an overnight stay with breakfast for two at the Kensington Marriott – like or repost on Twitter and Instagram.

Company’s Apprenticeship Levy being used support small businesses selling on Amazon, Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers and smaller creative industry partners.  See here.

From the GLA and Monday Works: Workspace survey

The GLA is undertaking a survey to understand how workspaces have coped with the pandemic. Please feel free to share the Workspace survey with your contacts.  The GLA have commissioned Monday Works to carry out a series of surveys on how Covid is impacting London’s flexible workspaces. Once the surveys are complete a report will be provided with recommendations that will include what support workspaces will need post-pandemic.

Details of the third round of the government’s Culture Recovery Fund (CRF), which will help support cultural businesses has been announced.

The Earls Court Development Company (ECDC) has launched the Earls Court Community Fund (ECCF)
