The Fascination & Business of FASHION

In partnership with Kensington and Chelsea Council and the New Youthquake initiative and is aimed at 16-30-year-olds.

Do you love fashion? Are you creative? Thought of starting your own business to combine the two? This session will give you some helpful insights.

An informal afternoon session facilitated by David Jones – CEO of David Jones Fashion Management Services, a 20 year old company that offers fashion management and related services. He is also a regular contributor of fashion promotion at the PBC and runs the Business of Fashion Masterclasses. If there is anything you need to know about the fashion sector, David is your man!! Having been in the fashion sector for many years, he truly knows all there is to know about the fashion business.

This session will give attendees the opportunity to hear from two new and already successful start-ups who will discuss both the exciting journeys into the sector together with the challenges they meet and overcome on a day to day basis.

Rose Rankin is a sneaker brand based in London. ‘We aim to bring sneakers that are fashion-forward, wearable and always with a sense of humour. Produced in limited runs and handmade, we bring fun, bold sneakers with clean lines that are both luxurious and every-day’.


Caroline AF Rosenburg is a luxury beachwear company launching in London this summer.

British made swimwear with a classic 50’s look, an embodiment of timeless luxury for the beach or the pool.

www.carolineafrosenborg.com It’s founder and namesake is a very experienced fashion designer in the luxury fashion arena.

On hand will also be several other fashion business owners available and willing to talk informally about their own experiences.

A Q & A session will wrap up the afternoon.
