Health Equalities Programme

In by Marianna Kisandraki

On behalf of Kensington and Chelsea Council, the Portobello Business Centre team would like to invite local organisations and businesses to apply for a small grant and become part of the Health Equalities Programme by delivering their own health and wellbeing programme / activities / events, running until August 2022.

The grant funding will aim to support residents and communities with enhanced prevention and recovery from COVID-19, especially reaching communities with low vaccine uptake, including young people, digitally-excluded groups, and other vulnerable population. The objective is to improve health awareness and vaccine uptake through a series of innovative health and wellbeing outreach activities, events, and engagement initiatives.

You can apply for grants of £500 to maximum £5000 for one or more events for the following categories, or a similar one that you think would help to reach more local people and spread the word:

·         Health prevention, including vaccinations

·         Healthy eating for kids or adults, and links to strengthening immunity via vaccines

·         Physical exercises

·         Mental health and the impact of COVID-19

·         Long-term effects of COVID-19
