Funding: Culture Seeds – Now open for applications. Culture Seeds is the Mayor of London’s brand new £1million small grants programme to help London’s local communities grow grassroots arts, culture and heritage projects across the Capital. Culture Seeds will offer grants of £1,000-£5,000 to small organisations, groups and individuals. Culture Seeds will remain open for applications until March 2020. Funding: The Next Generation Awards 2019, powered by Enterprise Trust, provide aspiring entrepreneurs aged 16-30 the opportunity to pitch their business idea in front of a panel of expert judges and win business prizes including £2,500 cash investment. Click here for more information. There are three age categories: 16-18, 19-22, and 23-30 years old

Funding: Baldwins Kick Start is an annual award programme for young entrepreneurs who have a good idea and would like to start their own business. Closing August 31st 2019. The programme has a total budget of £300,000, running over ten years. Each year, the winner of the award will be given a grant of £10,000 coupled with £10,000 worth of mentoring and accountancy advice. Two runners-up will be presented with £5,000 worth of accountancy advice and mentoring. The scheme is open to young people 18 to 25.

Funding: London-based Accelerator with Funding for Hardware Start-ups – Spring Intake. Start-ups receive a £5,000 grant on entry, plus a fully-funded manufacture trip to Shenzhen, China or a relevant European manufacturer. The standard terms for taking part in the CRL Accelerator are for an option to offer 3% equity in the business in return for £5,000 investment. The programme also offers a chance for businesses to pitch for further funding of up to £100,000. The deadline for applications for the spring Accelerator is 16 March 2019.

Funding: Tech for Good 2019 from Comic Relief. The Tech for Good programme was developed in response to the emerging need for charities in the UK to use technology to explore different approaches to delivering better services. CLOSES 12 noon GMT on 25th March 2019. Applications of up to £48,000 over a period of nine months. Click here for further information.
