Calling all Businesses affected by the fire at Grenfell Tower

Meeting at Canalside House
383 Ladbroke Grove at 12pm Friday 30th June
We need to hear from you – please come talk to us

The events at Grenfell Tower have been nothing short of horrific. Our thoughts at Portobello Business Centre remain with the victims and families caught up in this dreadful event. The focus of the nation has quite rightly been on the victims and the people directly affected

We are also very aware that the disruption caused by the fire extends beyond those directly involved.

When speaking to a cross section of businesses impacted by the events at Grenfell Tower we have been made aware of:

  • Residents with businesses
  • Outstanding bills
  • No / limited access to business premises
  • Staff being laid off
  • No income being generated
  • Customer orders / services disrupted or cancelled
  • Road closures affecting deliveries
  • Uncertainty about future orders / access to premises
  • Insurance claim difficulties

We’ve been bringing these matters to the attention of various local and central Government departments on your behalf. These include RBKC, Greater London Authority and the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Department for Communities and Local Government.

As with the riots in 2011, where many small local community business suffered, we believe there ought to be a business compensation package put in place as well as other support services to help you put your businesses back on track.

To do this successfully we need to fully understand the disruption and difficulties you’ve encountered and to advise you on the next steps.

Please come along to the meeting we are holding at Canalside House 383 Ladbroke Grove at 12pm Friday 30th June to help us to help you get your business back on its feet.

If you are planning to attend, can you let us know by calling 020 7460 5050 or on info@pbc.co.uk
