Business Support – Grants Update

RBKC News, 18.03.2021

Apply for Covid-19 grants before 31 March

The deadline to apply for Covid-19 Local Restrictions Support grants is 5pm Wednesday 31 March. The Government is closing current grant schemes which cover Tier 2, 3, 4 and national restrictions periods up to 15 February. The national lockdown period 16 February – 31 March will be open for applications until Friday 30 April.

The current grants are set to be replaced by the new Restart grants opening in April. We are still awaiting full guidance on these but will share an update soon with eligibility information and how to apply.

Additional Restrictions Grants: open for more businesses

An even wider range of business owners can now apply for Additional Restrictions Grants (ARG) as the fund opens for a third time to include start-ups who had begun operating within six months before the March 2020 lockdown. Other small businesses or sole traders are still eligible too and you could access £2,500 if you have been impacted by Covid-19 and been unable to secure other grants.

Check your eligibility and apply online by 5pm on Friday 9 April. You can find out more here: https://www.rbkc.gov.uk/newsroom/all-council-statements/covid-support-grants-available-start-businesses.
